Blown Call Leads To Free Corvette For Near Perfect Tigers Pitcher
On Wednesday evening, Detroit Tigers baseball fans came within one out of watching Armando Galarraga throw the 21st perfect game in Major League Baseball history. Plenty of pitchers have come within an out or two from greatness, but only Galarraga lost his bid at retiring all 27 batters he faced because of a bad call by the first base umpire. General Motors decided to give the hard-luck pitcher a significant consolation prize Thursday in the size and shape of a brand new, cherry red Corvette Grand Sport Convertible.

One Year Later, Did These E3 Xbox 360 Promises Come True?
Let's separate the Xbox hype from the Xbox reality. Every year's massive E3 gaming event includes big press conferences that promise gamers awesome things. One year past last E3, let's see what Microsoft and friends said would be in our Xbox future — and what did or didn't come true. Repeating my foolish mission of one year ago, I have been re-watching E3 press conferences. I have subjected myself to the full and pretty fun June 1, 2009 Microsoft press briefing. 2010 AMG Performance Tour
It's cool and gusty as we exit the bus at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, a private motorsports country club roughly an hour's drive west of Las Vegas. Snow had blanketed the area overnight and they're calling for rain, but wild horses couldn’t drag me away from the 2010 AMG Performance Tour. I'm here with a gung-ho group of AMG sales associates, existing and potential customers, as well as other media to experience an impressive array of AMG vehicles on a technical race circuit. Mercedes-Benz has produced a lip-smacking spread of eight different current AMG models for us to experience, including the C63, E63, CLS63, S63, ML6, SLK55, SL63 and the all-new SLS AMG.

Protect 486 Scooter Armor
Designer Marc Graells Ballve claims this anti-theft armor he designed for scooters called ‘Protect 486' was actually inspired by mother nature, particularly the armor worn by armadillos. But anyone who saw Tim Burton’s original Batman film will find a striking resemblance between the Protect 486 system, and the armor deployed by the Batmobile while Batman was out cleaning up the streets of Gotham. I’m not accusing him of ripping it off or anything, I’m just saying. And while it looks like a half-decent idea for protecting your ride from vandals, theft and even rain, I have to wonder what effect the extra weight and drag would have on the scooter’s gas mileage.
